Let's start with some notes...
Aperture range - For zoom lenses, an aperture range is often provided, such as 1:2.8-4.9 (for Fujifilm FinePix S6500 digital photo camera with fixed optical zoom lens 10.7x, 28-300 mm equivalent, aperture F2.8-F11 and shutter speed 30-1/4000 th sec). This indicates that at the shorter focal length the aperture will open up to f/2.8. These figures indicate how fast the lens is - the wider the possible aperture, the faster the lens. ISO - The ISO rating determines how sensitive the sensor in a digital photo camera is to light. The higher the rating, the more sensitive the sensor. The high ISO means that sharp, focused images can be achieved in low light without the need for a flash.
